Signal is an intercontinental sound-and-light installation.
Two very different urban spaces - the exhibition space, and the suburban cityscape of downtown Brooklyn - are connected over the internet. the two pieces of the installation enter a dialogue between sound and light, and between analogue and digital signals.
The part of the installation in Brooklyn consists of a 8-ft high fluorescent tube, attached to an old water tower. The light is triggered by the sound from the exhibition, and the sound from the fluorescent tube is transmitted back to the exhibition space and integrated in a sound-sculpture.
